Enable the plugin after being installed
Add a custom field at the Custom Field VM page
Select the plugin called VMCustom - Virtuemart Embed Video
Set it as Cart Attribute
Call it e.g. Embed YouTube Video
Leave all select option as No (important), you'll be able to set them a bit later
Enter a product
Add a custom field you've just created - Embed YouTube Video
And now set all the parameters and set a price if it needs to add some price for this option

Use full urls from YouTube address bar like this one: https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=1VCQDoYop64 with the word 'watch' in the url or just the video ID, e.g. 1VCQDoYop64

Do not use short YouTube urls like these ones: http://youtu.be/1VCQDoYop64 or www.YouTube.com/embed/1VCQDoYop64
